Probably many of you struggle with the same problem as me – my natural eyelashes are quite sparse. This makes me have to use cluster lashes whenever I want to achieve a spectacular makeup effect. Recently, in order to save time, I decided to switch to DIY lash extensions, which are applied much faster and more conveniently. I decided to test products from top brands to find the perfect lash extension kit for home use. Here are my impressions after testing five popular kits.

Why did I choose DIY cluster lashes?

DIY cluster lashes allow you to achieve great results with minimal application time. They are applied underneath real lashes, which is much easier than traditional methods. With a little practice, any woman can manage to apply them. There are many professional lash extension kits on the market, and cluster lashes are offered by most makeup brands. I tested the most popular ones that had the best reviews to see which ones are really worth buying. I can already tell you that not all the reviews were in line with my experience.

Lash kits for do-it-yourself extensions at home differ not only in their contents, but also in the quality of the false lashes themselves, the number of clusters in the kit, durability, and application time. Of course, choosing the best kit for self-application depends on personal preferences, but it is worth knowing which beauty brands to look out for and what other users think of them.

I set my sights on looking for a lash extension kit that is easy to use and the final result is both long-lasting and natural.

The most popular lash extension kits – application and durability (ranking)

I’ll point out right away that my test of at-home lash extension kits included only those sets from renowned beauty brands – I don’t trust products from random brands. All the kits I tested can be easily ordered from online beauty stores and brand websites. Without further ado, check out my tests 🙂

1. Cluster lashes for self-application (DIY) – Nanolash DIY Eyelash Extensions Starter Kit

To start with, I chose probably the most popular lash extension starter kit Nanolash DIY Eyelash Extensions Starter Kit. The contents of the kit were impressive and immediately boosted my interest.

In the kit from Nanolash, you will find:

  • 36 cluster lashes in three lengths: 10 mm, 12 mm, and 14 mm, in eight styles to choose from,
  • A bonder and a sealer (2×5 ml): two products necessary for applying the cluster lashes, which help fix them to real lashes,
  • An applicator: specially designed tool to facilitate applying the lash clusters to natural lashes,
  • A remover (5 ml): a product that allows you to remove the cluster lashes easily after wearing them.

I read that it takes only 10 minutes to apply these cluster lashes, which seemed unlikely, given my previous experience with traditional cluster lashes, which could take up to half an hour. To my surprise, the application really took me only 10 minutes.

The cluster lashes were extremely soft and natural to the touch. Applying them was easy and quick, mainly thanks to the included applicator, which I found very helpful and precise. I didn’t have to use any additional tweezers, which simplified the whole process.

The Nanolash DIY Eyelash Extensions Starter Kit comes with cluster lashes in eight different styles. You can choose lashes that provide a subtle but noticeable effect, or try a different style for a more dramatic look. After careful application, the cluster lashes lasted on my real lashes for a full week. I know from other reviews that in the case of other users, the lashes lasted even longer. I am very happy with this kit and can certainly recommend it to anyone looking for a quick and effective solution for at-home eyelash extensions.

Nanolash DIY Eyelash Extensions Starter Kit met all my expectations. The fast application, the quality of the lashes, and their durability make this product definitely worth having in your makeup bag. I plan to continue using it and would love to try other lash styles available from Nanolash.

2. Glamnetic Lash Extension Kit

The Glamnetic Lash Extension Kit, which came second in my tests, stands out for its wide selection of lash sizes and styles. In addition to them, the kit included a bonder, a sealer, a remover and an applicator, which made me happy. These items are essential for the false lashes to look nice, last, and be easily removed.

On the Glamnetic website, I found some information that the cluster lashes should last up to 5 days. Unfortunately, I took them off earlier. The kit is well-equipped, but the lashes don’t look as natural as in the case of other brands. After the application, they didn’t look as nice, which affected my feedback.

The Glamnetic Lash Extension Kit stands out for its completeness, providing all the necessary products and accessories for applying the lashes. Although the kit is convenient to use, the lashes do not look as natural as competitor products. If natural-looking lashes are your priority, you may be a bit disappointed. However, if you appreciate convenience and quick application, this may be an interesting option for you.

3. Lashify Starter Kit

Some brands offer products which cost more than average kits. Lashify is such an example. Despite the high price, I decided to test the brand’s lash extension kit to see how it differs from others.

The Lashify Starter Kit is a professional kit, containing everything you need to apply your lash extensions. Upon first look at the products, the high quality was evident. The cluster lashes are extremely soft and almost identical to natural lashes.

The set includes 10 lash clusters, a bonder, a sealer, an applicator, and a remover. Each lash cluster is made of the highest quality materials, which makes them soft and natural looking. The bonder works as an adhesive that is applied before applying the lashes, ensuring their durability. The sealer is a fixer that is used after applying the lashes. The applicator is specially designed tweezers that facilitate attaching the cluster lashes with precision, and the remover enables easy removal of the lash clusters after wearing.

Applying the cluster lashes from the Lashify kit was very simple and quick, and the final result was beautiful. The lashes looked incredibly natural and added definition to my gaze. Unfortunately, the kit only contains 10 cluster lashes, which means I used them all in a single application. For this reason, I think the price is over-the-top.

4. Tatti Lashes Invisi-Lash Kit

Tatti Lashes is a popular brand in the makeup world, so I decided to test its lash extension kit as well. The kit was available with cluster lashes on a black or clear strip. Purchasing the Invisi-Lash Kit from Tatti Lashes requires choosing the shape of the lashes from seven available styles. The kit also includes Invisi-Lash Bond and Seal Glue, which have a nice consistency, an applicator, and a small brush. Unfortunately, there was no remover, which was a bit of an inconvenience for me.

The Tatti Lashes application went smoothly, which made me eager to reach for the kit several times. In the end, I managed to create seven full applications using it, which I consider a pretty good result. The cluster lashes lasted well and looked natural, which is a big plus. However, the lack of a remover meant that I had to use products from other kits to remove the lashes.

The lash shapes provided by Tatti Lashes were varied, which allowed me to choose the perfect style for any occasion. Despite the lack of a remover, the Tatti Lashes Invisi-Lash Kit is a noteworthy set.

5. Kiss Falscara Starter Kit

The last DIY lash extension kit I decided to test came from the KISS brand. The Falscara Starter Kit is a smaller set that contains only 10 cluster lashes. The cluster lashes come with two formulas. The first one, BOND, is applied to the natural lashes before applying the lash clusters. Its purpose is to ensure that the lashes last and adhere well to the natural lashes. The second product, SEAL, is applied at the end to fix the clusters in place and ensure they stay there for longer.

Unfortunately, the kit lacks a remover, which makes it difficult to remove the cluster lashes after wearing them. In addition to the lash clusters and two formulas, the kit also includes an applicator. The final result was very satisfactory. The lashes looked subtle, which is very pleasing to me. Still, considering the number of cluster lashes in the kit, even considering the easy application and great durability, I think the price of the product is a bit excessive. For those looking for a quick and simple solution, this may be an interesting option, but its cost-effectiveness is worth considering.

Which lash kit provided me with easy application and durability?

After testing and carefully reviewing all the eyelash extension kits I’ve had the opportunity to try, I have no doubt which one I will buy again. The Nanolash DIY Eyelash Extensions Starter Kit was unquestionably the best choice. This kit met my expectations both in terms of easy application and durability of the effect. I have not yet decided which specific lash style I will go for next, but I am sure I will stay with this brand.

Nanolash DIY Eyelash Extensions Starter Kit can be easily recommended to anyone looking for a reliable product for at-home eyelash extensions. The lashes are not only easy to apply, but also last a long time, providing a beautiful and natural look.

As for the other products tested, I was also relatively satisfied with them. However, no other lash-styling starter kit provides such excellent value for money as Nanolash. Nanolash DIY Eyelash Extensions Starter Kit is sure to meet the expectations of even the most demanding users. For me, it’s the best choice in terms of easy application, durability, and natural-looking lashes. I hope your experience with this kit will be as positive as mine.
