If you follow my blog religiously, you probably know I’ve decided on the hyaluronic acid lip injection recently. Today I wish to share what the procedure involved, what effects it gave me and if I’m happy with the result. Keep reading!
My thoughts on esthetic medicine
This is an undeniable fact: HA lip injection is an esthetic medicine treatment. I didn’t go for botulinum toxin (aka botox) or the facelift threads but the needle was there! Why did I give it a shot? Because I like myself and like to test the latest achievements of cosmetology. If there is a thing that helps me bring out my natural beauty (I believe it’s hidden somewhere :D), why not give it a go? I like esthetic medicine as long as it doesn’t turn into obsession and overuse. When girls get carried away, they can’t recognize the person they see in the mirror. And that’s the effect I wish to avoid. I believe that a day-to-day beauty routine is the most important so I treat esthetic medicine merely as an extra tool for improving the appearance.
Making lips bigger with HA
I took a decision to make my lips bigger, or plumper, with the acid a couple of weeks ago. This is actually one of the most natural esthetic medicine procedures since it uses 100% hyaluronic acid – an essential ingredient of the skin ensuring optimal hydration.
This is one of the top treatments done in beauty clinics. Injecting HA is uncomplicated and entails lower risk than botox, for example. This is the reason why women like to get it done. And I’m one of them. 🙂
What made me get the hyaluronic acid lip injection?
I hadn’t been thinking about the pros and cons for long months. Just the opposite: it was an overnight decision to use the super power of hyaluronic acid. There are two main reasons for that.
- I always thought my lips were too small. They are or actually were quite thin and a lipstick just made them worse.
- Chapped skin on the lips was one of my biggest beauty gripes. It made my lips both ugly and sore.
Hyaluronic acid lip injection: EFFECTS
Some people call it lip enlargement, others say it’s a plumping or revitalizing lip treatment. They are all right because the HA lip injection brings plenty of benefits.
Hyaluronic acid injection:
- increases the levels of hydration and revitalizes the lips.
- enhances the lip shape.
- makes lips bigger naturally.
- smoothens and plumps the lips.
- makes lips more attractive.
Do hyaluronic acid lip fillers hurt?
Let me calm you down. Even though the HA lip injection uses a needle, the procedure is painless. This is one of the least invasive treatments and it gives instant effects. Of course you may experience some local swelling but it usually fades within twenty-four hours. The procedure lasts from 30 to 90 minutes – it depends whether you enlarge the lips or just get a hydrating treatment.
Am I happy with the results after the hyaluronic acid lip injection?
Hell yeah! I would definitely get it done again and I guess I will one day because the HA lip injections should be repeated on a regular basis. Why do I think that this way of making lips fuller is worth trying?
Above all else, it’s great that the effect is instant. My lips were fuller and plumper right after the injection! They feel so super-moisturized and soft – it’s worth any price. Plus, the effect is very natural and unexaggerated – a person looking at my lips has no idea if they are like that naturally or not. And that’s why I’m big on HA!
Let me know if you’re having any doubts about the hyaluronic acid lip injections. I’ll do my best to clear them up 🙂
